Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu — Arrival & Briefing
Arrive in Kathmandu. Trek briefing and gear check. Welcome dinner.
Day 2: Helicopter to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Spectacular helicopter flight directly to Namche Bazaar, bypassing Lukla and the 2-day approach walk. Arrive by late morning. Afternoon rest and acclimatization walk around Namche.
Day 3: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Full acclimatization day. Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m). The helicopter skips walking time, not acclimatization — this day is essential.
Day 4: Namche to Tengboche (3,867m)
Classic trail with Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse views. Visit Tengboche Monastery. Walking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 5: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,358m)
Trek into the alpine zone. Landscape shifts to high-altitude desert. Walking time: 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m). Health check and rest.
Day 7: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)
Trek past Thukla Pass memorials along the Khumbu Glacier moraine. Walking time: 4-5 hours.
Day 8: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m) — EBC (5,364m) — Kala Patthar (5,545m)
The big day. Trek to Gorak Shep, then to Everest Base Camp. Return to Gorak Shep. If energy permits, pre-dawn Kala Patthar attempt the next morning or an afternoon attempt. Walking time: 7-8 hours.
Day 9: Gorak Shep — Helicopter to Kathmandu
Optional early morning Kala Patthar if not done yesterday. Helicopter from Gorak Shep direct to Kathmandu — a stunning aerial route over the Khumbu. Celebration dinner.
Day 10: Departure Day
Airport transfer. Depart Kathmandu.
