Day 1

Day 1: Kathmandu — Arrival & Trek Briefing

Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m). Meet your Sherpa guide, receive trek briefing, gear check. Welcome dinner in Thamel.

Day 2

Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,840m) — Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Scenic flight to Lukla. Begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi river to Phakding through pine forests and past waterfalls. Walking time: 3-4 hours.

Day 3

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Enter Sagarmatha National Park. Cross the high bridge over the Dudh Koshi and climb steeply to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. Walking time: 5-6 hours.

Day 4

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Hike to Khumjung village (3,790m) or the Everest View Hotel (3,880m). Explore Namche's market and museum. Critical rest day for altitude adjustment.

Day 5

Day 5: Namche to Tengboche (3,867m)

Contour trail with Everest views. Descend to the river, then climb through rhododendron forest to Tengboche Monastery. Walking time: 5-6 hours.

Day 6

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,358m)

Trek through thinning forests into the alpine zone. Arrive at Dingboche in a wide valley below the massive Lhotse wall. Walking time: 5-6 hours.

Day 7

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m) for views of Makalu, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Health check and oximeter readings.

Day 8

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

Trek past Thukla Pass memorial cairns along the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Lobuche. Walking time: 4-5 hours.

Day 9

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m) — Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

Trek to Gorak Shep, then push to Everest Base Camp. Stand at the Khumbu Icefall where expedition teams launch summit bids. Return to Gorak Shep. Walking time: 7-8 hours.

Day 10

Day 10: Kala Patthar Sunrise (5,545m) — Descend to Dingboche (4,358m)

The highlight. 4:00 AM start for Kala Patthar — the highest point of the trek at 5,545m. Watch the sun paint Everest gold from the best viewpoint in the Khumbu. This dedicated day ensures maximum energy and flexibility for weather. Descend to Dingboche. Walking time: 8-9 hours.

Day 11

Day 11: Dingboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Long descent through familiar terrain back to Namche. The thicker air and warmer temperatures feel restorative. Walking time: 6-7 hours.

Day 12

Day 12: Namche to Lukla (2,840m)

Final trekking day back to Lukla. Farewell dinner with the team. Walking time: 6-7 hours.

Day 13

Day 13: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu

Morning flight to Kathmandu. Free afternoon for sightseeing — Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, or Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 14

Day 14: Departure Day

Airport transfer for your onward journey. Option to extend and explore Kathmandu Valley.
